Gardens of Lake Como – west branch

Gardens of Lake Como
This guide will help you discover the marvellous botanic gardens and parks – open to the public – located in the Province of Como, most of them on the west branch of Lake Como.

“There is nothing in the world that can compare with the charm of these blazing hot days on the Milanese lakes”.

That is how Stendhal, back in 1817, expressed the emotions he felt on his return from a visit to the Villa Melzi gardens in Bellagio.

The Department of Tourism for the Province of Como, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Como and Grandi Giardini Italiani (Great Gardens of Italy) network, is hoping that all those who visit these wonderful masterpieces of the art of landscaping overlooking Lake Como, whether garden enthusiasts or simply tourists, will feel the same wonder and enchantment.
